Aquarium of Canada

Prominent aquarium facility located at the base of the CN Tower in Downtown Toronto. Client is B&H Architects of Toronto.
This rendering of the entrance lobby dictated a very vibrant, active color palette. The fish mobiles, which had not yet been designed, are shown in warm reds & yellows complementing the cool blues and purples of the exterior glazing and large video screen. There was an emphasis on showing families and children engaging with the hands-on displays in the lobby. The viewpoint also provides a peek at the permanent exhibits beyond. Numerous changes to the in-progress design were easily accommodated by the loose painterly technique used throughout.
